On Saturday August 22, 2009, Muslims in
North America began celebrating the
Holy Month of Ramadan, thanking Allah
(God) for the revelation of the Holy
Qur'an through Prophet Muhammad (Peace
Be Upon Him).
These 30 days
were observed with the reading of the word of Allah
(God) contained in the Holy Qur'an; the
abstention from food and drink (fasting)
from sunrise to sunset; and the humble
and sincere daily prayers of those who
desire to submit his or her will to do
the Will of Allah (God) can foster a
healing process of the ills within our
selves, our families, our community and
the whole world.
