As Salaam Alaikum,

I, Sister Zainab Farrakhan, take great pleasure in welcoming all of the competitors to the Saviour's Day 2013 Essay and Art Competition. The theme this year is "The Pillars of Islam in the Keeping of the Faith."

The Pillars of Islam are the Divine actions, which help us in the perfection of our faith in the One God whose proper name is Allah. Our adherence to these Pillars will save, guard, and preserve us from harm or injury. They are, in fact, our success.

We who will judge this competition are interested in knowing your view about “The Pillars of Islam”. Your Essay and Artwork will give you the opportunity to share your heartfelt feelings and experiences in a very unique and special way. The Essay and Art Competition is designed to bring forth the Creative Mind, which in essence is the Mind of Allah (God).
